![]() Eventually you could build up bad ass heroes, but it took a long time and some extremely advanced buildings (like the one that let you forge weapons). Your avatar spent all his time in his castle and you had to put more tought into which towns would grow. ![]() The down side was that it was poorly balanced and the AI was fairly stupid. Things like flooding the world or lowering everyone's alignment to everyone else (you can have towns with different races than yours, that spell would make most of them rebel). It also had over the top gobal spells I don't think SM matched. It was a blast! Every time someone attacked you you could hit them back, drain their life and stun them. In the first you can build yourself the most amazing avatar, a warrior that would be nearly (if not completely) impossible to kill. I'd say AoW 1 is more fun but AoW:SM is a better game. Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't AOW 2 basically AOW 1 and Shadow Magic more of the sequel?Īnyways. ![]()
